DEATH NOTICE: JOHN EVANS (Ex RWF)

It is with deep sadness we must inform you of the death of John Evans - formerly of Ystrad Teilo Farm, Llanrhystud, Ceredigion, and latterly of Penrhos Golf and Country Park - who although not a well man, was taken suddenly last week.

John was a Conscript Officer serving in the RWF from 1956 for his National Service. His lifelong friend and fellow officer was Major Tim Bible…indeed they were ‘Best Men’ at each other’s weddings.

John’s funeral will take place on Friday 8th July at 2pm at St Rhystud’s Church, Llanrhystud, Ceredigion. Parking will be indicated as you travel from North or South.

2/Lt. Evans commanded 12 Plt. `D` Coy. In the Troodos Mountains Cyprus in the late 50`s. He`s well remembered by those of us who worked with him, Likeable fella, Fusilier DB.
