This book follows his service with the regiment through Egypt, Netherlands, West Indies, Spain, North America.

Talking of bayonets, you must have to be really “close up and personal” to achieve dominance with a bayonet now days; on the end of a SA80? We were lucky years ago with the SLR at least you were four foot or so to do the same.

That must have been the up grade on the P1 907 bayonet ( 17 inches ) which was issued with the SMLE WW1 and WW2. One is showing one's age Ha Ha.
