Ode to A Royal Welch Fusilier

Thought I might add this for the more senior members, ( said with tongue in cheek )

Our plumes have waved by Conquest
    That never shall be forgot
    When many a mighty squadron
    Reeled backward from our shot
    In charges with the bayonet
    We led our bold confreres
For Frenchmen like to stay not
    Gainst the Royal Welch Fusiliers

    And what could Bonapart-ee
    With all his cuirassiers
    In battle do at Waterloo
Gainst the Royal Welch Fusiliers ?
And eversweet the drum shall beat
    That march into our ears
Whose martial roll awakes the soul
    Of the Royal Welch Fusiliers.
