    Captain Roy Blewitt MBE

Roy Blewitt.jpg"I served at the same time as Roy Blewitt MBE and on more than one occasion had to appear in front of him when I was a SNCO and he was RSM. His fatherly dressing downs really struck home, no screaming or shouting and when you left his office you knew that you had been reprimanded - he had that knack!

I had a beer with him at the last reunion where we attempted to put the "Regiment To Right" in particular the future of the RWFCA.

Roy personified the ultimate example of a Royal Welchman and despite his transition on commissioning, never forgot the service roots of his Regimental career ladder from the NAAFI through to the Officers Mess - he was still Roy to everybody and that's how he will be affectionately remembered.

He was also fortunate to enjoy the support of Rita, who was just as much RWF as he was and gave the same commitment be it through the Battalion Wives Club, the Unit Families Office, LOsF and the RWFCA
