1st Btn Royal welsh soldier WIA
It is with great regrets that i have to announce that Cpl Nathan Williams 92 (BUNGLE) of the Mortar Plt was wounded in action a couple of days ago.
Nathan was involved in an incident resulting in him receiving facial injuries to his left cheek. His call sign came under Contact whilst mannoeuvring and he sustained a gun shot wound, however the round has not made contact with any of the internal workings of his mouth.
He has subsequently been visited by 1 R Welsh personnel and is said to be in very good spirits.
He has now been moved from Kaf and is receiving further treatment in Selly Oak Hospital.
our thoughts are with him and his family and wish him a speedy recovery.
