With a little help

The average personal computer user has, at least 4 insecure/end of life, progs running. Patching is more important than an anti-virus prog or firewall.
Whether your friends be civilians/military or ex military: whatever their race or creed : whatever nation; they may not be as security concious as you are. This is the age of so many cyber threats....just a little oil.....there's so many ways to come/go on holiday....sometimes a blog (?): not always a niggle or needle or jitter (?) : pc health....Britain isn't heart-shaped !!! I'm waste of time/breath and energy aware....don't do much advertising(!): I've had a bit of help from the Danish !

Perhaps , I need help from the Danish , sorry mate but I cannot understand anything your saying , maybe a pastry will help me along but there again it could be short , does bread fall into this ? Large holes , now there's something deep or what .... what a great shot , who did that , was it you Heap ?:err:

I was merely pointing to the fact that insecurities in communication is a general, world-wide malaise: and yet we're more communicative than ever? Our own language "even", has lots of holes in it ? Diseases follow any war. They were more peaceful days when I was in school. As young Christian soldiers we perhaps received more useful instruction/training than belly food ? Maybe I'm expanding the discussion/conversation more than "wandering off" the topic?

Fair enough mate....I can understand what you're sayin'...tho' I spend a lot less time on crosswords these days. I'm also learning by reactions...what it's possible to share, and what there's no possibility of. I'm more aware of my mortality perhaps, than when I was younger and thought of myself to some degree indestructable,possibly. These days I'm not immune to criticism: I think some wars could be avoided.....grief may sometimes be described as a failure in learning ? I can still write as straight as this: ( almost perhaps ): with pen and ink.........the computer has opened up new questions regarding friends and a sense of security? Any clearer ?

The more you fish, the better you get at it ? Lots of things in the river are a mystery to me. Some seem to have no interests in profiles. I'm entitled to my opinion also.....it might be foolish to always express it.....gobbledegook is for lawyers perhaps.....there's so much advice that is free.

I think once you get lost in the mire of metaphor and analogy, it's damned difficult to form sentences without using them. Like me not using the "F" word when working with yanks - so hard not to.
Just say what you want to say in laymans terms, nobody's a critic but people do want tounderstand, discuss and reply to threads without having to decipher what they're about - and then to misconstrue whatever it is supposed to be about.

My challenge to you Ian69: Try to write 5 consecutive answers to the next postings on here without using free verse, metaphors or analogies.

I can get across London without too many problems. I've got a beautiful grand daughter who ain't into mud, beer and swearing yet. "Nobody's a critic " doesn't have a ring of truth to it. I tend to reply....it's a good habit I think. There's no golden rule tho'. If you think I'm lost ?

Thanks for the explanation. I like listening to people talking Welsh, but I'd never heard that term. I grew up in the, (or a ) city, just after the war. Mam and Dad were still on rations. I got dressed up as a crocus for Dai's day...is a fond memory. I only became aware of many British splits and divisions much later. There's many a good book,maybe, tends not to accentuate them in any language?
There's too many free verses to read perhaps ? Maybe I spent too much time on them as well ?
I know exactly what you mean. What peace here is, isn't so fragile ? Some speech is freer than others ? There's every reason to fear a misunderstanding ?

I was referring to peace-keeping in any language....not necessarily making money....and the Russians havn't got corruption licked either. Maybe some letters aren't red ? Did I get married in May ? I may have lost my way with a union or two ?! There's no end of books and quotes maybe ....my father in law was in Palestine, or maybe it was Israel....he was a Tommy not a Jew ! That was before I was born.....we havn't really moved any mountains since then?!
Some might get the hump over punctuation...and others, another, over a headress....at home, I really don't envy you.
As a kid I had my telly favourites....more recent inspiration has been from a Texan sheriff.
Have I done any justice in a paragraph or two; without inviting criticism nor controversy ? I flippin' HOPE so !

In my shop, in a sleepy Sussex village, I have a lot of framed 'art' on my walls - run-of-the-mill stuff usually. But sometimes I'll hang something Pollack or Rothko-esque - just a load of blobs and/or splashes - and listen to the comments.

The run-of-the-mill stuff gets "Oh - that's really nice ........." and that's about it - even though the artist is just soooooo good - you'd be forgiven for thinking it was a photograph.

But the scary stuff gets people talking/thinking - and that's how I'm relating to you.

Maybe you're just nuts though?

If he takes inspiration from a sherriff in Texas, he's not all bad, iv read about the guy and he has his head screwed on, you do the crime and by sure you will pay for it, in every sence of the word.
