You can't beat a 1/4 of Winter Mixtures!
Pear Drops, Yummy
Barley twists
Aniseed twists
Aniseed balls
Cough candy
Pineapple cubes
(My dentist loves me) :)
Kop Kops, naturally!! (and I mean Liverpool FC, as opposed to my job!!!)
And definately not Everton mints!! I find that they start strong, but get weaker towards the end, and they always seem a bit bitter!!!!
I'm going way back now; Black Jacks, Fruit Salads,Sherbet Dips, Aniseed Balls, Gobstoppers but during the summer those mega sized Jubbilies....they've got small ones in Iceland now but not a touch and the ones we had when I was a youngster.

Peanut brittle , cinder toffee (huge lumps of Crunchie) and Mint imperials (dont taste the same no more)
Plus the Bars of Toffee. Callard and Bowsers was one and the other used to have a Cow on the Front. Lovely Stuff. Oh and the old 1p Arrows
What else but pineapple chunks?!! Yummy.

How about Sherbert power and Red Liquorice. I was in Crickhowell last weekend and spent around £5 on sweets in the sweet shop on the corner

Thought that I would revive this thread , I was in the same shop as Ray in Crickhowell the other day , it's called Jehu's . My old mate Eddie runs it these days . I bought a quarter of Monkey Nuts . Remember them ? Shaped like a monkey nut , mustardy in colour and loads of little nuts in the middle .
Good old days are still there if you look for them .
1penny Arrows, Mojos, Bars of Toffee with highland cow on. Bazookas, Uncle Joes Mintballs and them fairy things like rice crispies only coloured, they used to give u a cup full for 1p. Plus the Old Liquorice, Good Times.:smile:
