Re: The Royal Welch FORUM
Ive got to agree whole heartedly. Massive thanks to all the adminstrators, etc who run it so well. It is much appreciated. The good thing I find about it is the fact that different members use it for different reasons and it serves their purpose. A few of us would definately be lost without it!!!
Re: The Royal Welch FORUM
Clive I think you've hit the nail on the head!
This FORUM is a wonderful vehicle to talk to old friends about the times we had whilst serving. Keeping uptodate on how everyone is and as important, being informed about the people who carry on the traditions and work of the Royal Welch now and in the future.
A BIG THANK YOU to the Administrators and to all who use this brilliant forum.

Re: The Royal Welch FORUM
What a brilliant invention, The FORUM eh! Every subject has been breached from the serious stuff, like deployment news, sad stuff like obituaries and entertaining stuff like Scouse and Sid`s blog.
Keep up the good work everyone, nearly 2000 members can`t be wrong:notworthy:
Re: The Royal Welch FORUM
Thank you Clive for starting this thread and thank you all for your very kind comments, they are very much appreciated.
I would like to thank and congratulate each and every one of our members for your contributions to the forums and for helping keep the Royal Welch Forum as one of the best around.
Special thanks and congratulations must go to Al Poole. If Al had not ‘taken the bull by the horns’ back in Oct 2005 when the previous forum membership was stagnant, and continued playing a major role behind the scenes in keeping interest alive, we might not have this wonderful virtual place so many of us consider our ‘home from home.’
Our continued success is also due, in no small part, to the continuing contributions of our stalwarts like 5haron and Richard, our ‘super moderators’; Anita Corbett; Carl Pugh; Mike Thomas; Paul Hinge; Scorch; Thom 15, our moderators and our newly appointed administrators, Paul Davies 01 and Keith Jones 89. I'd like to extend a big thank you to each of them!
Re: The Royal Welch FORUM
While everybody is congratulating everybody lets not forget the main man in all this, the man who if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have a Forum in the first place. A very big WELL DONE & THANK YOU must go to Bob Bacon
Re: The Royal Welch FORUM
Here here,
I and many drummers who use this forum, owe Bob and Al our appreciation big time. This forum as brought so many of us together over the past 3 and half years, 3 drums reunions later and the 4th and 5th are already in the planning.
So on behalf of all Drums Society members, Bob, Al we owe you big well done from us.
Well Done
Re: The Royal Welch FORUM
The Forum as all are aware is a means of keeping members informed of what is going on in and around the Regiment, the comrades and of course, which we must not forget are the families. I have looked at a number of like sites and have not been impressed at what I have seen.
I agree that there is one man who is responsible for what we have and that is Bob, who, has other things related to the regiment to do, i.e. Secretary of the L of F.
Re: The Royal Welch FORUM
