Branch Memberships - RWFCA
Whilst all of the negative stuff has been floating around regarding the RWFCA, one area that has been positivley raised is the issue of Branch Membership. Hingey touched on it, making the point that they need an increase in membership to survive. With that of course brings new blood, fresh ideas and the ability to cast your vote.
I've bitten the bullet and applied to join a branch. I'm now looking forward to being in the loop regarding RWFCA issues. I see joining as a positive experience. For a fiver a year, its a bargain. I'm working out of the UK, but my prospective branch secretary(assuming its accepted) has offered to keep me updated by email. Brilliant, happy with that.
Regardless of your views on recent events. Its clear that the association needs bums on seats. Many of the Branch Secretaries are active members on here. Drop one of them a PM and sign up.

Re: Branch Memberships - RWFCA
For quite a while I have been considering about full membership, and with all the back-biting, I am now going to join a Branch; like Al hopefully I will be accepted by the branch that I wish to join.
May I strongly suggest to non member and individuals to join a branch, and help get the RWFCA and the Forum back to where they should be, at the top.

Re: Branch Memberships - RWFCA
London Branch RWFCA meet quarterly at the Royal British Legion Fulham (nearest Underground Parsons Green, District Line). Next meeting Monday 16th April, 1300hrs for 1330hrs.
I have canvassed previously and invited forum members who are not part of any of the RWFCA's to come along and check us out. Our annual membership fee is £10.00 payable by direct debit in June.
We have employed members who cannot attend on a regular basis but they are kept info'd of Association matters by either email or post. Indeed, out of 31 members, 22 are on email. We have a member in Berlin and one from the Isle of Wight. The following forum members travel as follows: myself from Solihull, Lofty from Warminster, Tony Corbett from Surrey and Wayne Davies 48 from Bedford. Two other forum members, unable to attend meetings as the result of employment live in locations shown: Ned Huntley in Hemel Hempsted and Shaun McCormack in Chippenham. As you can see, geographically we are a pretty spread out bunch.
New members are more than welcome, and, as has been mentioned earlier on, to vote at the AGM you have to be a paid up member of the Association.
Any forum member requiring more info on our Branch should PM me or Lofty (Social Secretary) accordingly.
Gerry 43
Hon Sec
London Branch RWFCA
