Re: Blue Birds Blue Birds
Hello All
Poor old Cardiff only a point, an own goal and getting knocked out of the FA cup (whoops predicting the future again)!
Just checked out why your crew is called 'soul crew'. in the definition soul
Soul music is a music genre that combines rhythm and blues and gospel music, originating in the United States.
So Blues not just meaning blue t**ds but always having a bad day! (except for 192? something).:swoon:
And gospel I suspect asking God for help aswell.:frown:
Well, I can help with the second one God is Manager of the swans, so he can't help you and for the blue well you can keep that colour I'll stick with Black and white with a bit of green and yellow sometimes.:winker:
Hope this helps all fans understand the blue t**ds, but also for benny to get out the black and white scarf and support a real team. Your season ticket awaits you down here in the Liberty.:chatterbox: Jack Army!

P.S. come on Wrexham fight on if we could do it so can you

Re: Blue Birds Blue Birds
Ok bri,
A jack, a lifting device, you need something like that to get you in the prem as thats the only way you lot will ever get there. Jack a small flag flown on a ships bow, good discription as you have always been that small city/football team behind us. Jack Knave, as we are the kings of welsh football another good discription of a jack as again you will always come beneath us.
Lets look at blue again, the colour of the sky, of course thats where god lives and of course being bluebirds we will always be above you and being a bird you jacks better look out from above, because there only two things that come from the sky, and we aint going to drop paras on you.

Re: Blue Birds Blue Birds
hey guys interesting thread with borderline banter all ok, being a pontypool born north walien living abroad I am more than pleased for all Welsh clubs who play in england and when they win it still makes me proud to be Welsh. After a fantastic day rugby y´day in Ireland why not put your voices behind Cardiff t´day cause if they do manage to reach the final again after 81 years all Welshmen will be one voice then. Winning is´nt everything being WELSH is far more important. I´m off to the GB club to watch the game on telly now with only english beer there its a small sacrifice Im prepared for. It could still be a super year for wales. Triple crown Cardiff FA cup Swansea promotion and good old Wrexham avoidind relegation Cymru am Bydd.

Re: Blue Birds Blue Birds
Just for you jacks?
Championship side Cardiff City have dumped Middlesbrough out of the FA Cup and now travel to Wembley for the first time since 1927.
The rainbow over the Riverside was the only ray of light for a below-par Boro as they fell to an embarrassing defeat at the hands of the Bluebirds.
Former Aston Villa man Peter Whittingham stunned the Teessiders when his quick feet opened up a tight gap which allowed him to unleash a superb curling effort into the top corner after just nine minutes. (Yeeeeeeees)
The goalscorer then turned provider when his free-kick was clinically met by Roger Johnson. His diving header sent the ball back across goal evading Mark Schwarzer's outstretched right arm for 2-0. (Yeeeeeeees)
Dave Jones' men fully deserved their place at Wembley with impressive performances from 17-year-old Aaron Ramsey and former Boro boy Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink leading from the front. (Tony not bad for a old man)Cardiff's triumph 81 years ago is the only occasion on which either club has won the trophy with Boro's best effort coming in 1997, when they were runners-up to Chelsea (when did the jacks do this????)

You need this run for publicity and a few penny's (30 Mill:shocked:) for your help your fight on Wednesday:winker:
Benny as for not caring if you win or not, getting this far and not winning would be like a shot in the foot:daydreaming:
And when you don't win there's no symphony from this call sign, told you lot to concentrate on the league. Look at the financial reward in premiership, rather than this ENGLISH mickey mouse cup:biglaugh:

Typical BLUETURDS they all come out of the woodwork when you have a first win in 5 lets see if you can stay in the championship but there again the distraction of the cup could be your downfall also lets not sing too loud as your court case is just around the corner:laugh:

Re: Blue Birds Blue Birds
Me I am like Spain during the War not with anyone in particular well Rhyl but first round europe is our best there
I understand the rivalry as watching the game I noticed a Cardiff Welsh Flag the Dragon had a crocked Swan in its mouth!
But Good Win and they could do Barnsley that would be something taking the game away from Cardiff but then Cardiff going and bringing the FA Cup back to Cardiff that would be something aye
-
Re: Blue Birds Blue Birds
Has a jack Fan this kills me to say this, however i'm going to say it Well done to Cardiff City AFC. I watched the game and was well impressed by the way they played Boro off the pitch and closed them down.
I cant see anything or anyone in their way now, or maybe addministration and i can see them winning the FA Cup again.
well done to the sc-m

Re: Blue Birds Blue Birds
see what I mean about the Jacks, they deserve their nickname talking about adminstration, we Bluebirds wouldent wish that on any team in the football league.
Cracking win for Wrexham, and Newport county who are not far off the confrence. At least Rik can see how well Cardiff played.
Tony, Big Bri, eat your heart out. Come on the bluebirds, 2 more wins and the Jacks will hibernate for the rest of the season.:biglaugh:

Bri if u go back to the first thread i started on here it was geared at scouse mate as a bit of banter that he had given me when cardiff lost to liverpool. Im a rugby man my self but have always surported the blue birds being cardiff born and cardiff bred and dont proffess to follow any of the big clubs. I am not a week in week out football fan but do follow the results, as for the english cup then why do swansea bother entering, spose we will have to appeal against the welsh FA if we do win to play in europe next season. Reason 1 for hating the jacks when i was a young lad and ventured up to the vetch after beating the swans 2-0 we observed a pillar of smoke coming from the car park yes u jack ........... had set our coach on fire we had to hang around for 3 hours lol.

Re: Blue Birds Blue Birds
Hey sox the coach must have had an electrical fault which caused the fire :biglaugh:you dont think us JACKS would have done anything like that to our fellow BLUE BIRDS up the road :winker:

Re: Blue Birds Blue Birds
Yeh i think some one left a fag in the ash tray m8 lol, well shame the semi final is the weekend b4 i get home would have been cool to have taken my lad to wembly for some thing worth while.

Re: Blue Birds Blue Birds
What I don't understand is now, is if Cardiff win the FA Cup they will not be able to represent the Football league in the UEFA cup next season. Do Cardiff, Swansea, & Wrexham not play in the English League.
If this is down to the Welsh FA again they are penalising the likes of our welsh teams for playing in the English Tier of Football.
The Money is not in this Semi proffesional league they have here in Wales, its not like the Scottish SPL which as been going for sometime now. If the likes of Cardiff, Swansea, and Wrexham cant qualify for europe then let them once again play in the Welsh Cup, so they can qualify again and receive some financial reward once more which is required to all our English leaugue representatives.
If this is not going to be the case then (and this is going to hurt) lets hope Cardiff win the FA Cup and put egg on the face of the FAW.

Hello Sox
Respect must go to you for two reasons
1 For starting this excellent thread. I reckon we have all have kept it on the same lines as you started it off, Your home team, The ENGLISH mickey mouse cup and Liverpool (whoops I haven't mentioned them. Scouse, Bri or Rafa (how ever is incharge up there) thanks for loaning us Paul Anderson and Martenez says hello to Rafa Benitez. :winker:
2 For pointing out these electrical faults with these coaches from (your end) I'm sure there are some Health and Safety members on this forum that can pursue this issue and make our roads safe:biggrin: If your insinuating that it could be MALICIOUS well, a blast incendrie or Molotov cocktail would need a safety distance of 180 metres and we couldn't achieve that at the vetch (useful being a pioneer). However at the Liberty we can:devilish:
Respect to all other members contributing to this aswell especially Tony, Trav, Rik, Carl, Scouse and O yes and Benny (from?):winker:
Welsh cup final tonight good luck to both teams
Well done to Wrexham, good win. More of the same please :spinny:

11/03/2008 - Boss davey banking on Swans fans to cheer Barnsley to victory
Former Swansea City midfielder Simon Davey is hoping hometown support can smash Cardiff City's FA Cup Final dream.
The Barnsley boss saw his side drawn out alongside the Bluebirds in yesterday's semi-final draw, and Davey admits it would be sweet to dump Swansea's fierce rivals out of the cup.
Just one victory separates the Championship pair from a dream trip to Wembley, with either West Bromich Albion or Portsmouth waiting in the wings.
And the Swansea-born manager, who played 49 games at Vetch Field over a five-year stretch, says Barnsley's trip to the English capital could not be better than beating Cardiff along the way.
"They're a good side," he said. "We played them at home this year and drew 1-1. They play very good football and we know it's going to be a tough game.
"But we've got to be confident after beating Liverpool and Chelsea. There's light at the end of the tunnel for both teams and we fancy our chances. We're 90 minutes away from an FA Cup Final.
"They're Swansea's biggest rivals and being a Swansea lad it'll always be nice to put Cardiff out. I'm sure there'll be a lot of Swansea fans cheering me on."
COME ON BBAAAARRRRNNNSSSSLLLEEEYYYYY:biglaugh:

Re: Blue Birds Blue Birds
Hi all.
I must say I'm glad to see that this thread is still going strong after 12 pages!! I dint think I've seen one going so long ? and It's even more surprising that no one has killed each other yet , well done all.
Like I said way back on the 3rd. page, there should be a football supporters club site on the forum,
I think the fact that there are 12 pages to this thread has said that there is a call for it , and you have proved that you can keep it to typical army type banter and not abuse each other, (comes close sometimes) so what do you think? you could start off threads about different things rather than having one long one,
If Bob or Al are keeping an eye on this thread whats your thoughts?

Hello Scouse
Yes your defiantly right on the standard of this lad just a couple of stats to show:-
out of 29 outings his had 9 goals and 11 assists. :winker:
With position yes we play him on both right and left wing.
Write up on one of our sites:-
Paul is extremely fast, and capable of playing on either wing and with his eye for goal is capable of playing as a striker.

Re: Blue Birds Blue Birds
Bring Anderson back we could do with a winger LOL! Nice to see a BIG club loaning out a decent player who helps out the other team and gains valuable experience. Anderson is definately one to watch for the future and nice to hear he is playing well and getting good reviews. Well done to Cardiff hope you can go all the way and bring the Cup back to Wales. Especially for you BENNY!!
