Don't want to blow my own trumpet (well I do really) but I am an Olympian (Sydney Paralympics 2000) wheelchair rugby

Bill Roach AKA "Ken Barlow" he was and officer i believe in the Royal Welch Fusiliers In the 50s/60s

Sorry Steve. The Krays were National Service 1st Bn The Royal Fusiliers (City Of London Regiment)

Bill Roach did National Service and then continued to spent a total of 5 years in the RWF leaving at the rank of Captain during the 50's

Reference Desmond LLewelyn, he spent the most War (5 years of it) in a POW, solitary confinement camp.

I read that all Sir Richard Burton wanted to do was wear the Snr Welch Regt's Cap Badge, however I believe he also wanted to wear the best also.
