Hi vikki, I see I have been mentioned in a few posts, can I help at all.
Hi everyone, I was in Salamanca platoon 1981-82 and passed out with Salamanca and plassey platoons, after passing out moved into plassey plt lines and joined the Cambrian march platoon of which drake was one, we were sitting about outside doing a bit of training with bayonets and drake decided to play chicken with me and his bayonet so drake being drake got the hump cos I didn't move my hand wen he was stabbing the ground between my fingers so the crazy sod stabbed me in the leg good eh that's my memory of drake so if your reading this you crazy sod....cheers still got the scar. Great days lads 30 years ago now but remember it like yesterday was a pleasure to have grown into soldiers together, last thing does anyone remember phill antle, tug Wilson, bob Vaughan and Jap jones from Salamanca platoon our section commander was Keith finnamore of Devon and dorsets great guy we won the best section mop that year and went skiing to silberhutte in Germany as reward happy days lads, take care, Nigel jones49 ex 1rrw
Seeing the names, we had a instructor called bob garland 1 Glosters could this be the Garland he mentioned, also at that time there were Bob Beck, Snottty Roberts, mouse terry, Bodger Hughes, the two Williams Brothers from the RRW and Sgt Bates from the D&D
Should have mentioned they were all Korea 10 platoon 1978?
