Diverticula are small pouches pushing outwards from the wall of the colon. When they are just present without causing serious problems, the condition is called diverticulosis. It's called diverticulitis when they become inflamed. Very painful.

Yes this is a painful disease of the Bowl which unfortunately i suffer from,and unless they operate to remove the diseased part it is with you for ever,so diet etc is key to not suffering(god i could murder a full English),Re the Photo in an earlier reply yes it is H on the left and i think the other guy is one of the Grimes brothers
Diverticula. I was told in Aug after my 10 year colonoscopy that i had it & was told its caused by lack of Fiber. So if you increase your fiber you should have no problems. Its common in people from 60 +. Remember to drink a class of water when you have Fiber to get the best result.
