I was in training coy borneo 3 plt with Andy ..as stated a great lad, Our Plt sgt in training was Alun davies 46 with howard maiden as cpl, there was about 25 RWF and five from the rest. I was in the co,s crew on the day he died, it was a very rough couple of days, A coy was a very busy company to be in in west belfast in those days.....Ill never forget andy and think of him often .
Not forgotton, Andrew was a year younger than me , I was in Support Coy and on Ops room stag when it came through of the contact. When ever I pass the Cenotaph theres always a an acknowledgement from me to his memory.Sgt Major Crocker still lives around the corner from my mother and as far as I know going strong.
Never mind how many years go by, we will never forget Andrew & the others.
That time of the year again gone but not forgotten
