60th Anniversary
The following article was taken from today's The Flintshire Chronicle (200809)
THE Shotton and Deeside branch of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers Comrades Association will be marking its 60th anniversary with a parade and rededication of standards service.
It all begins in the car park opposite the Central Hotel, Shotton, at 10am on Sunday.
It will march along to the war memorial in Connah’s Quay, where the service will take place at about 10.30am.
The event will also feature recruitment representatives and stalls.
Association secretary Benny Ball said: “It promises to be a special occasion bringing many former comrades together.
“We hope the parade and service are well supported.”

Re: 60th Anniversary
Aberystwyth Branch RWFCA wish Shotton and Deeside Branch a very successful 60th Anniversary celebration. It's with deep regret that members from our Branch are unable to attend due to a multitude of other commitments on that day. But I'm sure the vast majority of us will be with you in spirit. Have a good one!
