I was thinking of the days when you get a 1/4 of boiled sweets from the local sweet shop, and what ones I liked there were many but my all time favorite was:
Rhubarb & Custard"s
What about you?

Barry,
You can't beat a 1/4 of Winter Mixtures!
Pear Drops, Yummy
Barley twists
Aniseed twists
Aniseed balls
Cough candy
Pineapple cubes
(My dentist loves me) :)
Kop Kops, naturally!! (and I mean Liverpool FC, as opposed to my job!!!)
And definately not Everton mints!! I find that they start strong, but get weaker towards the end, and they always seem a bit bitter!!!!
I'm going way back now; Black Jacks, Fruit Salads,Sherbet Dips, Aniseed Balls, Gobstoppers but during the summer those mega sized Jubbilies....they've got small ones in Iceland now but not a touch and the ones we had when I was a youngster.
Hingey
Peanut brittle , cinder toffee (huge lumps of Crunchie) and Mint imperials (dont taste the same no more)
Plus the Bars of Toffee. Callard and Bowsers was one and the other used to have a Cow on the Front. Lovely Stuff. Oh and the old 1p Arrows
What else but pineapple chunks?!! Yummy.
