Pass out parade ITC Catterick 3 October 08
Last week the new Commanding Officer of 3 R WELSH, Lt Col Ed Brain and myself attended a passing out parade in ITC Catterick. On a freezing cold morning we watched 13 soldiers pass out into the Regiment.
6 soldiers to 1 R WELSH and 7 soldiers to 2 R WELSH.
Thats now 26 soldiers in the last two parades.
Good news.

All those lads passing out is good news for the Regt. Also this week we had 40 young lads who are attending the Army Preparation Courses (APC) in Cardiff & Rhymney at ITC Catterick on a Look at Life visit organised by the R Welsh staff at ITC. Also the 1st Battalion are shortly hosting a similar visit for 100 young lads from the APC Cardiff, Rhymney, Wrexham and Bangor. The 2nd Bn will also be hosting a similar visit at Tidworth. Historical statistics show that approx 55% of these applicants will join the Army, hopefully they will elect for the ROYAL WELSH.
