Sid's grand day out!!!!!

Its Sunday afternoon, as my family reflect on Saturdays activities. Yesterday we had a BBQ for my partners 40th. A great time was had by all, and thanks must be passed on to Sid(younger, less sober brother of Larry), who provided a wealth of entertainment for all the guests.

The danger signals were there, for all to read!!!

Danger Signal 1. Sid and the Goughmeister turned up at the house at 1600hrs, but Sid was minus his minder...Heidi.

Danger Signal 2. Sid's a beer man, but for some inexplicable reason, he made straight to the white wine box, and poured himself a hefty glass. He looked quite the suave gentleman, suited, booted, white wine glass in hand regaling everyone with stories from the past. This image was not to last for long. Oh Sidney!!

Danger Signal 3. Sid starts comedy flirting with my 61yr old mother in law, who incidently is a teetotal, church attending ulsterwoman of impeccable morals. Very, very funny. By now he's unsteady on his feet, he's slurring his words, his eyes are glazed, and his breath smells of intoxicating liquor. In my opinion Your Honour, That man Burns is drunk.

Danger Signal 4. 4 hrs into the BBQ I notice Sid is now drinking red wine....mixing drinks....its gonna end in tears, and it did!!!

Sid's demise was painful to watch, car crash TV, live in your own home. It was a mixed Civvy/squaddie/police audience, which made his antics all the better. I think at one stage he went to sit down and missed his chair completely, however he never spilt a drop.............By now even the children were peeking around the patio doors to watch "Uncle Sid"

Eventually Sid decides to pop upstairs for a "Little Nap" in the room that my brother in law, his wife and young child are staying in. I walked into the room to find Sid mumbling "Sorry Al", whilst Paul Gough, on hands and knee's desperately tried to mop up the Red Wine vomit map of Africa, that Sid had kindly deposited on the cream carpet.

At this point It was "TAXI FOR BURNS".

Nice 1 Al, im sure you all had a good day, well i thought inspector burns would at least be setting the example to the children by depositing his vomitt in the toilet, now whos more embarresed Sid You or Heidi.
Im sure Sharon has for given you to with a bit of coaxing from Al. Send my regards to Sharon for her Birthday Al.

OH DEARY DEARY ME!!! For those of you who followed the Cyprus blog, you will now see that everything I wrote about Jason Gilman Burns was true, and needed no fiction at all. Im so glad that I was working and did not have to witness the demise of my dear friend!! Im seriously considering a weekly 'SID BLOG'!!

Geography lesson and Acrobatics not bad ! you pay alot for a childrens entertainer these days lol
