RHQ Monthly Newsletter: September 2025
Welcome to the September 2025 edition of the RHQ The Royal Welsh Newsletter.
This issue provides updates on recent activities and upcoming events. It covers the 1st Battalion's pre-deployment training for Operation CABRIT in Estonia, including live-firing exercises at Castlemartin. You can also read about the summer highlights from the Clwyd & Gwynedd Army Cadet Force, including their commemoration of VJ Day.
A highlight this month was the commissioning of HMS Agamemnon, the new Astute-class submarine now affiliated with The Royal Welsh and a report on the successful annual charity football match in memory of Fusilier Jack Wilkes.
Furthermore, we celebrate the incredible endurance of two Royal Welsh veterans who took on the formidable Dragon's Back Race and provide details from the Regimental Reunion North in Wrexham.
Looking ahead, we have information on a range of events, from adventure training courses in North Wales to the upcoming Isandlwana/Rorke's Drift Commemoration Service in January and a job fair in Wrexham.
