Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Welsh
Formal Announcement: From Maj Gen CBK Barry CBE, Colonel of The Regiment
I am extremely pleased to announce that I have received a letter today from His Majesty King Charles III who has agreed to assume the position of Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Welsh in succession to his later mother who, we know, held the Regiment in great affection for some sixteen years. The King is very much looking forward to recovering old connections and establishing new ones in the coming years and he sends his warmest best wishes to the entire Regimental family.
It is great news for the Regiment, and I will respond formally to His Majesty The King shortly to provide an update on what the Regiment has been up to and what it has planned for the future.
Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus.
