Wrexham Reunion - 4th September
This is another event we are planning for. It will take place as usual on the first weekend of September.
The plan is still being developed but will start with a Memorial Service for those comrades who have passed away during the pandemic. This will take place in St Giles Church and a wreath laying ceremony may follow at the RWF Memorial in the Town.
We are looking at organising a march through the town and a Band Display / Concert. Lunch in the Memorial Hall will then take place.
Captain Des Williams DCM will send out more details in due course.
Update on the Wrexham Reunion - 4th September
As Covid continues to disrupt all reasonable plans, we have had to rearrange our plans for the Reunion Lunch as the Memorial Hall will remain a Covid Testing Centre for the remainder of this year.
The Mayors Reception and the Luncheon will now take place in the new Cafeteria and Catering Centre of Coleg Cambria.
This is directly across the road to the Royal Welch Fusiliers Memorial/Cenotaph and much more user friendly than the Memorial Hall.
We do need numbers to make this event happen, so please book your Luncheon Tickets, which are heavily subsidised by the Comrades Association, as soon as possible so we can make this event a success.
Timings remain the same:
1100 hrs Act of Remembrance and Service
1200 hrs Bar will open at Coleg Cambria
1300 hrs Luncheon at Coleg Cambria
We will look forward to seeing you on the 4th September.
Kind regards.
Des Williams
