Joe, in the middle of the photo, was such a Battalion character. He was a man that you would only have to have had the briefest of dealings with for you to remember him forever. His famed sense of humour lightened any situation
I feel cheated as I know that I will never experience his quick wit and dry sense of humour again. His loss has devastated everyone who knew him and he will be missed forever.
Lovely man Joe, served with him B company, same mortar platoon, same rugby team and same Red Dragon Club. A loyal Royal Welch character with a great sense of humour, a good mortarman too. I enjoyed his company and so pleased I got to chat with him in the Wynstay at the 2017 Reunion. Heartfelt condolences to his children on their loss. RIP Joe.
Just speaking to my Brother Dave who informed me of Joe,s passing.
Had many a pint and a laugh with Joe over the year's. He was an infectious individual who will now be sorely missed by all that knew him.
Rest in Peace Joe. My sincere condolences to Joe,s Family.
