Irish PM claims British veterans fought for 'European values, NOT just for Britain'

This statement came out of the mouth of the Irish PM today just wondering how many agree/disagree with it my loyalty was to queen and country not to European values


IRISH Prime Minister Leo Varadkar claimed British veterans fought for European democracy and European values and not just for Britain

The thought of defending European values ( What ever they were all those years ago and what they are now ), never came into it when I signed on the dotted line.
I am also quite sure it never enter the minds of family members who fought in the 2 world wars either.
