It is with deep regret that I have to announce the death of Elfed BARTLEY on 22 June 2017. Elfed passed away peacefully at Denbigh Infirmary, aged 82 years and of Pen-y-Cefn Road, Caerwys. A much loved father, grandfather and brother, and dear friend and comrade to many. Funeral service will be held at St Stephen's Church, Bodfari on 30th June 2017 at 1400 hours, followed by interment at Caerwys Churchyard. Family flowers only but donations in Elfed's memory will be shared between Denbigh Infirmary Amenities Fund and Caerwys Agricultural Show. Deepest condolences to family, friends and fellow comrades from London Branch RWFCA.

The funeral went well with a packed church. A Guard of Honour of comrades paraded and followed the coffin into the church, with the branch standard leading the way. A special mention should be paid to Major Glyn Hughes for his exaltations, at the end of the service, and a thank you to Hew Davies for his bugling. A buffet followed in the Picadilly, Caerwys, after the internment. The family expressed their thanks for the turnout of comrades.
