Remembering brucamps 02 september 2014

Hello everyone,

September 2, 2014, the town of Brucamps paid tribute to Cpl Idris Emelyn Smith and Fus Harold Thomas, died in combat in the town September 2, 1944 in the presence of the family of Cpl Smith.

It was the first time an event like this was held in Brucamps, which was very moving.

After several months of research in France and in the United Kingdom, I managed to found the families of the two soldiers and several documents whose photos of soldiers and the report of that day.

This tribute was a great moment for the villagers, for Mrs Bennett and for me.

Now the search continues, maybe I could someday have contact with all the families of the team recco period and why not a veteran of the battle ????
