batman to Sassoon
Hello all,
I have been on the phone to Graham Knight re an old thread concerning the batman of Sassoon. I wrote to the Sassoonery Society and a name was given to me by Debbie Fisher. But Graham Knight has since read a letter in a Birmingham news paper and the correspondent has named a different man who acted as batman for Sassoon. He is Patrick Fahey number 7792 he liked his booze and he probably served Sassoon from 1915?? Fahey was discharged from the army on the 4/6/1916, as time ex. What do you all reckon?
