I have just learned of the sad news that Lee May had passed away this morning. R.I.P Lee.
R.I.P Lee my friend, great to meet you in October.you look just like your Dad.
till we meet again...
How sad such a shock, he was only young & the spit of his dad derek...I met him twice last year at the may/october cardiff reunions R.I.P young man
More sad news. I first met Lee ( member Mayo1212) at the funeral of his Dad Derrick May, he was a lovely kid and many of the lads present took to him which meant he had a good few bob in his pocket. More than that, even at his gentle age he enjoyed the company of the people who were described to him as Dads friends from the Army. I promised that I would send him some pictures of his dad which I did and he replied with a lovely thankyou letter along with a gift of one of his favourite "collectables"
Many years passed then finally we got back in touch through fb. He was hungry to hear anything about "Big D" and relished the stories from those who shared with him the experiences they had with his father and of course the photographs that people gave him access to. It is tragic that this young man has left us. The only consolation is that he is back with the Mum and Dad he missed so much. Godbless Lee.
