The Forum received this message(Via RHQ) from George Bullocks Grandson today 17/11/06. I will endeavour to obtain funeral details for members.
George Frederick Bullock, has died at the age of 88, after more than 20 years battling Motor Neurone Disease. He was born in the West Midlands, but moved to Anglesey, where his career in golf started. When war broke out he joined the RWF, and became an officer. He took part in the Normandy landings, and moved through Belgium and Holland, towards the Rhine, liberating that side of Germany.
He resumed his career in golf after the war and went on to finish second in the Open in 1959. He then moved alot between England and Scotland, playing, then teaching golf.
He leaves two daughters, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He always spoke passionately about his time with the RWF and his love of Wales.
He shall be sadly m***** and we look forward to enjoying his life at his funeral on Tuesday week.
Thank you
Martin Palmieri
