Pte J Whalin 11670

Pte J Whalin 11670 was mentioned in Despatches by Sir John French. I seem to be unable to find the London Gazette reference. Does anyone know?

Further info on Pte Whalin: landed 10/11/1914, wounded 16/05/1915, discharged MU 18/02/1916.

SWB List J73 says enlisted 13/8/1914. No papers that I can see.
