Upsetting as it is and I'm sure we all feel the same, it had to come. The sheer numbers of injuries sustained in this bloody war had to leave its mark especially with the forces already making such huge cuts over the years. The challenge for this and any future Government is to make sure that "everything" will be done to ensure that the guys have the full support that is requred such as Housing (a priority and a must) employment, and the continuation of the medical support that they recieve now and not that of the ailing NHS that has no idea how to deal with the military.
I think it was Bill Mauldin, who drew brilliant cartoons during the Italian and NW Europe campaigns in 1944-45, who once said "The only place where you'll find sympathy in the Army is in the dictionary, somewhere between s**t and syphilis."
Apparently there's nothing new under the sun.

Very Upsetting News Once again. Though they are also getting rid of Abled Bodied Troops too. The way things are going we'll have a Smaller Army than Lichtenstein. If we havn't already. Braz
