feeling old!
after turning 40 last month, ive had numerous people ask me if i feel any different. up til today i always said no, but i had the pleasure of going into sennybridge camp to repair the cashpoint and my view changed. whilst on my dodgy knees doing my stuff a very young looking geordie squaddie asked if it was working yet. i told him it would be a while yet, but his response left me speechless. he said to me 'ok,ok keep whats left of your hair on grandad' and left, laughing out loud!!!!! I was dumbstruck:cryicon::cryicon:

Re: feeling old!
I'm sixty-four now, and it all sounds horribly familiar. Still looking for the best reply...

Re: feeling old!
Just a thought to you youngsters.59 years ago last month I travelled by train [steam] from Bangor to Wrexham, what a shock to the system getting shouted at most of the time when we settled in.But I must say the time with the Battalion brings back some of the best memories and times ever, for such a short time in my life.
