Two soldiers have been arrested after a ‘tank’ was allegedly stolen on an Army base and filmed on a £100,000 joyride, leaving crumpled civilian cars in its wake.

Sources told The Sun the troops had been drinking off base before returning to Tidworth Camp in Wiltshire and stealing the armoured personnel carrier (APC), which has a top speed of 32mph.

Fat Jabs: British Army introduces official policy for personnel using weight loss medication

The Army has introduced a policy on using weight-loss medication (WLM) after a rise in soldiers using the drugs to combat obesity.

Published last month, the policy outlines rules for using WLM, especially during physical training.

Soldiers are warned only to use WLM prescribed by official means and to inform unit medical officers if prescribed outside the military, via the NHS.

A senior figure confirmed to BFBS Forces News that there’s no ban on personnel in any Army role because the drugs are legally available via the NHS.
