It is with great sadness that I have to announce the untimely passing of Cliff "Ianto" Evans last night at 8pm.
Ianto served with the 1st and 2nd Btn Bands in the 1950's having been one of the original band boys post-WW2.
Ianto is survived by his wife Jackie and sadly had a long struggle with dementia and a heart condition.
Ianto lived near Carmarthen and was a prominent member of the Band Association before his illnesses took hold.
Details of the funeral arrangements will be posted when they are released.

I have today been told that Ianto's funeral is strictly private (family only) but will take place on Monday next.
Thank you to everyone who has past on their messages of condolence. I will pass them onto Ianto's family over the weekend.
