The Menin Gate memorial (where the last post still is sounded every evening) would have the names of quite a number of Royal Welsh. Also some battle areas around might be interesting. 1st battalion were almost wiped out in october 1914 near Gheluvelt, many took part in the later battles.

I'll check and get back! Hopefully other will contribute as well!

There is plenty to see regarding the Royal Welch at Ypres. The Bargoed and Blackwood branch went there recently and followed the 38th devision through its campain, and in particular the Royal Welch Fusiliers involvment in the battles there. We had our guide "Major Ian Gum" take us to all the Royal Welch cemeteries, which i might add was a very humbling experience.

Hello,
Last November a coach party, and detachments of the 1st RWF and the 2nd Jager battalion visited the site of the peace truce in Ypres and A football match was played between the RWF and 2nd Jager battalion. The truce was re-enacted even to rolling out a barrel of beer and exchanging cigars and cigarettes, plum puddings etcetera. The area has a lot of RWF history especially of the 1st and 2nd RWF. this truce is mentioned in Frank Richard's(D.C.M & M.M.) book O.S.N.D
