Anyone watching this? Was last night's the first or second episode?
I was zapping last night and came across it. Originally, my attention was held by the presence of the utter phwoaaaarness of James Nesbit (don't tell Pat) but the story kept me watching.
I found it a bit disjointed, yet at the same time hard hitting and intense. The characters seemed pretty authentic too. As for the storyline, I can't gauge if it was "real" or not, but maybe some of you can add to this with your opinions on it.
For a while I thought the guy playing Danny was Craig Charles of "Red Dwarf" fame and was hanging out for him to call someone a Smeg 'ead all night - but it was a different scouser. Good actor tho, fairplay, I felt his pain and desperation when his mate was missing.
The online reviews are very different, one even goes as far as calling the accents fake - which made me giggle - obviously the Royston Vasey Village Idiot doing telly reviews now.
Anyone else find it worth a watch?
