I regret to inform you that Lt Col Robert Humphreys-Roberts passed away on 14 Jan 09. The following was published in today's Daily Telegraph:

"HUMPHREYS-ROBERTS. Robert, Lt Col - MC TD, ex-RWF, formerly of Runcorn died peacefully with his family around him on 14th January 2009, aged 94 after gentle and caring nursing by all the staff at Ben Alexandra House Nursing Home, Southport. Much loved father and grandfather, will be greatly missed by family and friends. Private cremation in Southport followed by Thanksgiving Service at St Michael's Church, Runcorn on Monday 26th January at 2.00 pm. Family flowers only, but donations, if desired, to the Stroke Association, through Walter Craven Ltd, Funeral Directors, 44 Liverpool Road, Lydiate, Tel 0151 531 7890"
