7th Batt RWF 1944-46

My father George Eirwyn Fowler served with the 7th Battalion RWF during 1939-46. I am aware that the 7th Batt, as part of the 53rd Welsh Division landed in Normandy on 28th June 1944. From there the activities of the 53rd is pretty well documented in books and on the web.

However, I would very much like to obtain more detailed information on the
activities of the 7th Batt, RWF during the period 1944-6. Is it possible to obtain battalion records?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

If you want a blow by blow account of their actions from June 1944, the best source is a book called Red Dragon by Lt Comd P K Kemp. Its out of print, but www.abebooks.com have a few copies at bargain prices. Expect to pay between £20-£40.
