Talking to Chow earlier on and Btn Company Clubs in Tidworth raised its head. I remember the " A Coy Pigs Weekend" hosted by the infamous Nick Ravenhill. I would imagine there are many out there that have fond memories of these clubs and thought they may want to share some of those memories.

Hello Paul mate

Well arriving in Tidworth as a TA soldier in 74 we where accomodated close to Deltas "We were doing our TA training in the battalion with Trg Wing" so in the evening we used Deltas Club in the Days of Jinx 38 Perky & John O'Brien etc, later I joined as a Regular in 76 and joined the Sigs Pl the Company Club was not well Established at the time so as I had mates in Alphas "Wethersons Ray & Brian, Paul Hubbuck, Ritchie 13 & Nige Brockley Bravos Erve Alli & Blondie FSP Scouce, AJ, Charlie 41, Shakes, Sides, & Elmo and Deltas Phil Evrve, Jinxs 38,& JOB.

I visited them all, I being a bit of a nomad at the time.

The Pigs night at Alphas was prity rough the bin in the middle of the room, it would not happen know days god we must of been mad? Bravos was a bit tamer just alot of drinking and selling of the odd wayword lost misguided soul? FSP had a good bunch of lads but for attmoshfear for me it had to be Dirty Deltas Jinxs was a Star and Perky a legend and the Delta Company Cap Comforters Darts team were the Buisness!

Every Company had a Barman/Stores Guy a bit like the Red Dragon "Jinxs the Cat" but in each company

Shame they disapeared from the system but glad I was lucky to be apart of them all!

Happy Days

Hi Paul and Barry.

Agreed happy days. The company clubs were in existance long before Tidorth, try Lemgo.

I joined the Bn on a Cold Jan evening and after sorting out, was taken to the Club next to C Coy accn, the Band Club, where I had a good introduction into the Bn.

Some of the people I met that night were, John Hughes, Stew Brunton, Bob Peel, Jenkins 18, Wood 45 and the infamous 'Coco Pops Lewis'.

Tidworth Mk 1 I think Barry's on about and I would agree with him remember knocking on the Alpha's club window one Friday night and Nick Ravenhill dragging me through never got out until Sunday PM half dead and rough as hell. Living next door to Charlie Company's club was handy at times also, mind you being tea total and an athlete in prim condition did not get much time for the bear did I lads LOL
