Royal welch forum turkey trot

Just to remind forum members that the annual forum turkey trot will take place at Glynneath golf club on Sunday the 7th of December.

Could all players who are taking part please meet at the golf club by 10.15 am, first tee time being 11 am.

Jase hill has stated this fixture will be played up North next year.

Sadly on friday the 28th of November, last years Royal Welch Forum turkey trot winner Wayne Thomas passed away.

Even though Wayne never served with the Battalion he was a honoured friend and welchman who was well liked amongst us who played golf. Waynes banter was so sharp if you met him for the first time you would never forget him

Wayne was a very goodfriend to Roy Price, Wellies and many more RWF men who played and got to know Him.

Wayne supported the various golf fixtures Organised by myself, to think that Wayne will not be attending Sundays Meeting to defend his trophy will be a great loss to us all and many more meetings we attend in the future.

However the fixture will still go ahead on Sunday because we know that this is what Wayne would of wanted, before we commence our meetng there will be a minutes silence to remember Wayne.

My thoughts go out to Waynes Family at this very sad time, rest in peace mate.
