I know this isn't the Royal Irish Forum, but can I tell you I have just come back from attending the Welcome Home parade for the Royal Irish in Belfast City Centre. It was amazing, the crowds were ten or more deep. It was wonderful to see British troops marching through the streets of Belfast, never thought I would ever see it. It was very emotional, exciting and overwhelming. I am still on a high.

It was a day to be proud to be British.

I agree its good to see troops marching through Belfast for all the right reasons and getting the support from the people there............how times have changed.

It is good to see the Royal Irish marching through the street of their own City.

It is a pity that some local 'hoods' (from both sides) had to be kept apart by the boys of the NIPA to avoid unpleasant scenes.,
