This has just been posted on Orders down here at St Athan.
MILITARY PROVOST GUARD SERVICE (MPGS) - RECRUITMENT
1. Leaving the Army soon? The Adjutant General's Corp (AGC) Military Provost Guard Service (MPGS) is vital to the day to day running of the Armed Forces. Providing armed and unarmed security services, its trained members ensure the safety of military personnel and visitors at Ministry of Defence (MOD) sites throughout Great Britain including this RAF Station. The MPGS is made up of professional ex-servicemen and women who have served at least three years in one of the Armed Forces. They are typically people who enjoy military life but who have reached a stage when they no longer want to be subject to postings or mobilisation. It's a highly responsible job with a unique set of demands. Duties include patrolling, searching and carrying out incident control procedures. You'll receive a competitive pay and pension package, travel and subsistence allowances, military accommodation (if required), flexible hours and 30 days leave. You will also experience the special brand of camaraderie that only military life can bring.
2. Interested? Information on MPGS recruitment can be found at www.armyjobs.mod.uk or any Armed Forces Careers Office (AFCO).
3. On the Army jobs website click on the 'Application Zone' link. Register your details. You will then be sent a password which will allow you to access the relevant application forms.
4. Please complete the Regular Army Full Time application form. When completing the Career interests section on the last page of the on line application form, you must write MPGS and the locations you wish to serve at under the heading 'Additional Information'. Failure to do this will mean your application will be rejected by the Central Processing Cell.
5. Alternatively, you can contact the Unit Resettlement Officer or the Station Security Officer for further details.
