Hello my name is Pete Knight. Grandson of 36481 George Richard Knight M.M 2nd Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers. My Grandfather recieved his M.M for his actions during the Red Dragon Crater incident.

I am as far as I know the only Great War Royal Welsh Fusilier re-enactor in the country. My website has been mentioned on this site in the Red Dragon thread.

The reason I am posting this is because I am looking for potential recruits to portray Royal Welsh Fusiliers on the Living History circuit. I have worked extensively with the Great War Society and several international Great War Groups. One of the primary objectives is to attend Great War Memorial services to honour the fallen of the Great War. The most recent was the 29th Division memorial at Stretton on Dunsmore the only Divisional memorial in the country, we mustered in excess of 20 Tommies for this years service.

More importantly I am in the process of organising a large scale Great War Living History weekend for 2007 at Whittington Barracks Staffs. There will be 100+ Great War re-enactors representing all nationalities.

I want the Royal Welsh to be represented. So if you know of any one who may be interested please drop me an e-mail.

Hello Don,

Good to hear off you. I will certainly mention you to Mom and Dad. I have just had a room built to display my Great War collection it's growing by the day. I'll need a nissan hut before long. I'm looking for manequins for my uniforms at the moment.

I'm off to Zonnebeke next week for a huge international Great War living history weekend. The theme is air battles of 1917 and we have two bi-planes to play with. As well as the usual stuff the march to Tyne Cot etc there have been two trenches constructed.

Speak soon Don.

Regards

Pete
