DO YOU HAVE ANY MEMORABILIA FROM THE 1ST WORLD WAR?
DO YOU HAVE A STORY TO TELL ABOUT A RELATIVE WHO LIVED THROUGH THIS HISTORIC EVENT?
The University of Oxford in collaboration with The Royal Welch Fusiliers Musuem, INVITES you to become part of a Nationwide project to gather together and preserve in DIGITAL form, everyday memorabilia that reflect the experience of soldiers on the Front Line and on the Home Front alike.
If you have any memorabilia of the 1st World War that you are willing for other people to see and use for Educational purposes, then we INVITE you to bring these items along to The Royal Welch Fusiliers Musuem Caernarfon Castle on Thursday 8th May 2008 between 10:00am - 4:00pm.
Here we will photograph your items or transcribe your stories, take details from you. These will then be submitted to an online archive and release to the General Public on the 11th November 20008, the 90th Annivesary of Armistice.
Items that are of particular interest include letters, photographs, diaries, poetry, Audio, Film and other artifacts that originated during the 1st World War or as a direct consequence.

That all items submitted to the archive will be made available free of charge on the World Wide Web for Educational use only.
Owners' of the items will retain the Copyright. Entry into the Castle will be free if submitting items on this day.
