Cheers Brian m8,
It was Neil Kent, from Newport, Alison was also from Newport I believe. I was aware that 37 might get out at the end of the 87/89 tour I remember him mentioning it mate, I have a photo of all of us @ Company level, with 3Plt in the front row mate, yes, your there !! That was when I came back the first time mate and the CO, presented me with my GSM.....Remember, A proud moment for me....Dan's was still there when the photograph was taken, that would have been sometime after, April 88' I think
I'll e-mail a copy to you m8,
Take care, Rgds to the family Brian
Pat.....
PS. Remember Newcastle Co Down, looking back that was funny, me you and Mark Corner I think, I still laugh at that......to be continued maybe in a pm though........
Bye mate

Hi Pat
Dan's (David) might be the son of the Late Johnny Daniel (LOF member), John passed away some years ago and was a staunch member of the Shotton and Deeside Branch RWFCA, David used to bring him to our meetings, but never joined the branch for some reason or another, but he did mentioned that he had served in the RWF around about the time that you have mentioned. I don't have a contact address or number for him, but you could write to his mum (Elsie Daniel) who still lives in the Queensferry area. If you liked to PM me I will give you her address. I don't want to pass it over the forum as she is getting older and frail now.
Hope you succeed in your Quest
Best Regards

It really was good talking to you, your right Two hours really flew by mate, glad you have the GSM Presentation photo, I wonder how many of those are around ?? did all of 3Plt get one ?? those photo's really mean a lot to me, I have one of me being presented with it, one of the Platoon and one of the company to, all taken outside Alpha's HQ, I know it was only the GSM, but to have it presented to me in that way, with all your mates there really made it very special.... listen see if you can get to Wrexham, I hope to meet up with you all, I'm going up with the Blacwood Branch and hope to see you there !!
I'm off to Berlin in June to meet up with Brian Algate and his family, I'm trying to make up for lost time......Will phone you again soon Dave, til then take care....
Pat
P.S Forgot to say, met up with, Trav (Bri) he hasn't really changed, still wears his Desert wellies, but by his own admission, says he's a little more sensible now ! It was an interesting and enjoyable evening, looking forward to the next one....
