So, what's your New Year's resolution? We ran this in Jan 2007 and I will post some of the resolutions made by members below.

New Year's Eve has always been a time for looking back to the past, and more importantly, forward to the coming year. It's a time to reflect on the changes we want (or need) to make and resolve to follow through on those changes.

So, whether your goal is to lose weight, exercise regularly or stop smoking, post it here.

2007 Resolutions:

Paul Hinge:
I'm joining Keith and Gwyn on the new knees it must be an ARMY thing!
I'm going to attempt to lose some weight this year but as those of you who know me, I was never the most athletic looking person even when I was younger. The steriods don't help as you get older they seem to help pile the pounds on.
I thought that with 5 Grand children and two dogs they would give me enough exercise.......it seems not!

Meds:
1.drink less.
2.be happy with what i got.
3.more fiz.
4.live life.
5.save more.<!-- / message -->

rikoshea:
win the lottery, and move to hotter climates, where the government look after you and send post cards to all the people i dont like saying glad your not here

keithwill38:
win the lottery and buy myself 2 new hips and 2 new knees, then get fitter lol

Dai:
Get fitter, havnt done anything for about a year and loose my ever increasing beer belly. Joining Karate in the New Year just hope I keep it up

Keithwill,
I read your e mail, I have to tell you 2 new knees are not always the medicinal panacea the orthopaedic surgeons make them out to be.For a start I was not told that new knees do not always stop the pain, only that they may lessen the pain some what?????
I have also heard that a fair proportion of recipients of new knees end up having the transplant (Knee joint )removed and filled with anti biotics, and this means you are unable to bend the affected knee. Another good tip is do not have a complete total knee replacement on both knees done on the same day. I did and it was not what was promised.!!!!The options may well be different if you go private.

Rik,
Those people you send cards to saying "Glad you are not here" may well send a card to you saying glad I am not with you as well. Food for thought.

yeah maybe, but they would still need an address to send it to me. However if they thought that least of me why waist a stamp. Food for thought also.

Anyway Happy new year to you and the Bridgend Branch RWF Comrades.

The New Year is nearly upon us and those resolutions are about to 'kick-in'.

It looks like most of us are overweight, unfit and drink too much!
Oh, and we're not giving anything to charity either.

Happy New Year everybody

I'm overweight, over forty, not very fit, need glasses and hair dye but my NYRs are to spend more time with my family and to make sure they all know I love them loads. I know it sounds soppy but before you know it either they pass away (the olders members, I mean) or I might and I dont want to regret not telling them.
So remember to tell your loved ones that you do love them ~ OFTEN!
Happy New Year everyone, I hope it brings peace to us all as well as all we would wish for ourselves.
God Bless
Anita xx
