It gives me immense pleasure to announce that Sid 'Larry's brother' Burns, has today been informed that he has passed his promotion board. He will be taking up a post as substansive Sergeant in the coming months.
I would also like to add that us at the Tutor unit in Wrexham had nothing whatsoever to do with it. However, rumours are rife that Larry has been on the phone to the Chief Constable over the last few months!!
Joking aside, well done mate and well deserved.:winker:
Well done Sid ! just keep away from the Speed camera deployment side please?
Behind every good man is a good women so well done Heidi too

I suspect life for myself and Scouse will now take a sudden change for the worse. Until today, we were actually senior to him, hence the ready banter on the forum, safe in the knowledge that he was cornered, and had no means of defence......just how I like it. However the worm has now turned. Its a little like that oiky platoon commander, who disappears for 2 years, and turns back up as Company Commander and your worst nightmare!!!!!(aarh Poole another idle JNCO)
Anyway Sid(younger and much overlooked brother of Larry), many congratulations....., and I would like to point out, that Scouse made me do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:notworthy:

Hey Al, Ive already started my studies for March. Believe me, this is the best incentive to do my exams I could ever have!! Where as Sids motivation for passing was the fact that Chief Constable Heidi Burns wanted a new three piece suite!!!!

Hello Sid,
Well done I would strongly advise against trying to keep Al and Scouse in your sights, it will leave little or no time for other duties.
Regards Don
Congratulations Sid

There goes an old saying, You know you are getting old when the police men start to look as if they should be still in school. That wont work in North Wales any more. Or am i still young.
Or am i still young.
Its true, Sid(younger brother of Larry), is the "Dandy" Sheriff of Flint with his hair dye.......Foxy Red or Morrocan Red, depends on the wind direction, and of course his chin massager. It's caught us all out at one time or another. For a long time he denied he used either, which nearly drove me and Paul Gough to a nervous breakdown, as we wondered where we had gone wrong in our follicle and face care.
It was that desperate Goughie considered surgery..............again!!!!

I would like to remind you all especially Al and Scouse how the caution goes
“You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mentioned when questioned, something which you later rely on in court, anything you do say may be given in evidence” (ringing any bells Al /Scouse)
I would like to exercise my given right to remain silent in regards to the slanderous remarks made by Al Poole, until at lease I have sought legal advice.
However I will make one significant statement “the hair on my head is of a Light foxy red in colour, and has NEVER been dyed”
Sid x
Not According to your bin man, unless their's another Foxy person in the household ???
Age comes to us all but its the speed it comes that can make the difference, Oops here I go mentioning speed again! sorry Sid.
If you ever did use youth in a packet I am sure it was for undercover work aye Sid!

Sid,
Be very careful when mentioning the caution!!...It wasnt that long ago that I recall a certain PC who forgot the words. I cannot mention who it was but for the remainder of you, see if you can guess from the clues below!
1. He is a tall smart chap who hails from Pil, Newport.
2. He has a liking for UB40.
3. He has an older brother called Larry.
I have a sneaky feeling you may well work out who it was!!!

Many congratulations from the Met Sid. With regard to the Caution - we don't use it as has recently been shown in the news!! And by the way you are still known in London as Larry's brother even though you might be a skipper......
