The season of winter chills and sniffles has arrived with a vengeance. I’ve been off sick this week with the man-flu, (A cold simply doesn't sound serious enough!)

For those unfamiliar with this insidious condition, man flu is the same flu a woman gets, but much, much worse. Once it takes hold in its victim - always male as the name suggests - it is completely debilitating and only complete bed rest and mollycoddling by the nearest and dearest female can treat it.

It’s meant I needed to lie in my bed for a few days, groan, be brought tea, groan some more and then whimper.

Still a bit under the weather, but I’m feeling much better. Hopefully I can start my regular posting again starting today. I’ll try to throw up a quiz for tomorrow as well!

As all men know, there's nothing funny about Manflu. Its a serious ailment afflicting 50% of the population, only the male can understand the suffering involved.

Stubby.........Male Circle of Trust....either your in......or out

Do you think we gals don't suffer when you men get sick, it's like being punished for crimes committed in a past life....you just don't know what you've done to deserve it!! :winker:

Bob, Echinacea and Manuka Honey.

But be aware of those nasty side effects, just ask Gwyn LOL.
I think I can feel a touch of Canadian Man-Flu coming on, anyone know a good female, around 25ish, willing to come and look after me?

Hello Bob,
Hope all is well now. I know the feeling. I never smoked all my life yet when I get what is commonly referred to as "FLU" I really need a month in an Iron Lung.
Glad you are back.

Last time I got this I booked an appointment to see the doc - they could not see me for a week - I'd probably be better by then - I thought "Ah well" and continued to suffer.

So, my wife, Pat, rang them up "He needs to see you TODAY"

"Well, unless it's a real emergency, this is the earliest we can do"

"Emergency? ..... Emergency? .... This is more than that, this is life or death!"

"Well, I don't think flu is a matter of .........."

"No, no, screw the flu - if he doesn't stop whingeing, I'm going to kill him"

Got me in that day - still whinged though.
