I am finding that the forum pages appear to be slow in loading - is anyone else experiencing this?

Ok, I will have to contact our web host and see what the problem is - we are using a shared server so it may be that there is just too much traffic going through it.

I might also look for an alternative host - 1&1 haven't got the best reputation out there!

I hadn't really noticed any degradation to be honest ?

At this moment in time, it appears the database server is now back up to speed.
Yesterday, it was unresponsive due to a ’saturated load’ caused by the sheer volume of traffic.

I’m looking at alternatives so that this doesn't become a frequent problem

I have done that before Anita.
How much did it cost YOU to get YOURS 'fixed'
Mine ran to £300 before I decided to get rid.
All it was,was the daughters ,house, rabbit had gnawed through the lan cable at the back of the sideboard,where I couldn,t see.
Needless to say,the next time it gets in the lounge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!: arghh:
