Myself and tony richards 47 have been trying to trace Jones 85 for the last few years we think that he may have gone back to South Africa or onto Australia due any of the members out there know of any sites we can go to to try and trace him in these countries.He served with the Royal Welch 1976-79

If anyone is in the Merthyr area, Ray Jones 85 Mam is still there I think. I know his Dad Dai was a member of the legion before he passed away. And they returned to Merthyr from South Africa so it should be possible to track him down. C'mon all you valley boys help me and twenty find this guy. Thanks 47

I was in the anti tanks (Milan). When Ray paid to get out & went back to south africa in the late1979 or there about

Thats correct but he came back to the U.K. for about 2 years Firstly living back in Merthyr and then in Cambridgeshire before going back to South Africa again. The last I heard he was thinking of moving to Australia.
