Gentlemen, I would like to thank your Branches who attended the Funeral of LCPL Ryan Francis yesterday, it was an inspiring sight to view the Regimental Standards of the RWF and RRW side by site to pay their respects to the passing of a Welsh Soldier, it did not matter if Ryan was from the 1st, 2nd or 3rd Battalions all that mattered was that the Royal Welsh has lost one of its own.
Your Branch members as well as every other serving and non serving solder, marched up Ryan and saluted their fallen comrade, I viewed this from the top of the cemetery looking down towards the graveside viewing the scene of soldiers and comrade after comrade taking his turn to pay their respects, it brought a lump to every ones throat who had the privilege to gaze upon this.
Thank you again gentlemen
